기혼여성의 결혼만족도는 단순히 개인과 부부 차원이 아닌 다른 가족 구성원에게까지 부정적인 영향을 미친다. 기혼여성의 결혼만족도와 관련된 선행연구는 다양한 방면으로 진행되고 있지만, 가족가치관과 결혼만족도의 관계를 살펴본 연구는 많지 않았다. 현재 우리나라 여성은 과거 유교사상에 기초한 가족주의 가치관과 현대의 개방적, 개인주의적 가치관을 모두 경험하고 있다. 하지만 이 같은 과도기적 상황에 놓여있음에도 불구하고, 다수의 선행연구들은 변화되어 오고 있는 개방적, 개인주의적 가치관에만 초점을 맞춰 연구를 진행하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 그동안 주목받지 못하고 있던 가족주의 가치관을 토대로 기혼여성의 결혼만족도를 살펴볼 것이다.또한 가족가치관과 결혼만족도의 관계를 살펴본 연구들은 비교적 단편적이고 선형관계 분석에 그치고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 부부갈등이라는 매개요인을 함께 살펴보고자 하며, 부부갈등 요인을 살펴본 기존선행연구들과 차별성을 가지기 위해 부부갈등상황 시, 어떻게 상호작용하느냐에 따라 기혼여성의 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는가를 알아보고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기혼여성의 가족주의 가치관과 결혼만족도의 관계를 살펴봄과 동시에 부부갈등상호작용방식에 따라 둘의 관계를 어떻게 매개하는지를 알아보고자 한다. 본 연구는 한국여성정책연구원에서 실시한 여성가족패널조사(Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families: KLOWF) 제 5차, 6차, 7차 종단자료를 활용하였으며, 배우자와 결혼생활을 유지하고 있는 기혼여성 5,755명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 분석하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 25.0과 Mplus 7.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계, 상관분석 등을 실시하였으며, 전체 변인 간의 구조 및 경로를 확인하기 위해 구조방정식(Structural Equation Modeling: SEM)을 통해 분석하였다. 또한 구조방정식모형이 적합하게 구성되었는지를 확인하기 위해 확인적 요인분석(Confirmatory Factor Analysis)을 실시하였고, 간접효과의 검증을 위하여 부트스트래핑(Bootstrapping)방법을 활용하였다.본 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.첫째, 기혼여성의 가족주의 가치관과 결혼만족도의 관계를 살펴본 결과, 기혼여성이 가족주의 가치관을 지향할수록 결혼만족도가 증가하는 양상을 보였다. 즉 기혼여성의 가족주의 가치관은 결혼만족도에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 최근 동안 이루어졌던 기혼여성의 가족가치관과 결혼만족도의 관계를 살펴본 연구에서는 대부분 변화되어 오고 있는 개방적, 개인주의적 가치관 요인이 주를 이루었다면, 본 연구는 가족주의 가치관을 추구하는 기혼여성의 특징이 현재 결혼만족도에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 검증한 결과라 할 수 있다.둘째, 기혼여성의 가족주의 가치관은 부부갈등상호작용1(내 의견을 속으로 삭힘)의 경로를 거쳐 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기혼여성이 가족주의 가치관을 지향할수록 부부갈등 상황 시, 자신의 의견을 속으로 삭히는 경우가 적으며 결과적으로 결혼만족도에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 기혼여성의 가족주의 가치관과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 부부갈등상호작용1(내 의견을 속으로 삭힘)이 매개역할을 하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 기혼여성의 가족주의 가치관은 부부갈등상호작용2(배우자와 차분히 대화)의 경로를 거쳐 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기혼여성이 가족주의 가치관을 지향할수록 부부갈등 상황 시, 배우자와 차분히 대화하는 경우가 많으며 결과적으로 결혼만족도에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 기혼여성의 가족주의 가치관과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 부부갈등상호작용2(배우자와 차분히 대화)가 매개역할을 하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.넷째, 기혼여성의 가족주의 가치관은 부부갈등상호작용3(격렬하게 논쟁)의 경로를 거쳐 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기혼여성이 가족주의 가치관을 지향할수록 부부갈등 상황 시, 배우자와 격렬히 논쟁하는 경우가 적으며 결과적으로 결혼만족도에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 기혼여성의 가족주의 가치관과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 부부갈등상호작용3(격렬하게 논쟁)이 매개역할을 하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.이상과 같이 본 연구의 결과에서는 기혼여성의 가족주의 가치관과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 각각의 부부갈등상호작용방식이 매개역할을 하는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 따라서 기혼여성의 결혼만족도를 높일 수 있는 가족주의 가치관을 안정적이고 건전한 방법으로 유지할 수 있도록 다양한 정책 및 관심을 강구하는 것이 필요하며, 부부갈등상황 시에 부부 간 갈등대처전략과 의사소통 패턴을 검토하고 변화를 위해 노력하도록 훈련할 수 있는 상담 및 교육 프로그램의 시행을 증가시킬 필요가 있을 것이다.
Married women's marital satisfaction negatively affects other family members. Previous studies related to women's marital satisfaction have been conducted in various ways, but less attention has been paid to the relationship between family values and marital satisfaction. Currently, Korean women are experiencing both familialism values based on traditional Confucian ideas and modern open and individualistic values. However, despite being in such a transitional situation, many previous studies are focusing only on the open and individualistic values that have been changing. Therefore, this study examines the marital satisfaction of married women based on familialism values that have not been noticed so far.In addition, studies examining the relationship between family values and marital satisfaction are relatively fragmentary and limited to linear relationship analysis. Therefore, this study aims to examine the mediating factor of marital conflict together, and in order to be differentiated from previous studies examining the factors of marital conflict, In the event of a marital conflict, it is intended to find out how the interaction affects the marital satisfaction of married women. Therefore, this study examines the relationship between married women's familial values and marital satisfaction, and at the same time, attempts to find out how the relationship between the two is mediated according to the method of marital conflict interaction.This study utilized the 5th, 6th, and 7th longitudinal data of the Korean Longitude Survey of Women and Families (KLOWF) conducted by the Korea Women's Policy Institute, 5,755 married women who maintained marriage with their spouses were selected and analyzed for the study. For data analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and correlation analysis were conducted using SPSS 25.0 and Mplus 7.0 programs, and analysis was conducted through Structural Equation Model (SEM) to confirm the structure and path between all variables. In addition, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to confirm that the structural equation model was properly configured, and bootstrapping method was used to verify indirect effects.The main results of this study are summarized as follows. First, as a result of examining the relationship between married women's familialism values and marital satisfaction, marriage satisfaction increased as married women pursued familialism values. In other words, the familialism values of married women had a positive direct effect on marital satisfaction. In recent studies examining the relationship between married women's family values and marriage satisfaction, most of the changing open and individualistic values were the main factors, and this study verified that the characteristics of married women pursuing familialism values can affect current marriage satisfaction.Second, he familialism values of married women influenced marital satisfaction through the path of marital conflict interaction 1 (i.e., silencing my opinion). The more married women aim for familialism values, the less they deplete their opinions in the event of marital conflict, and as a result, marital satisfaction was increased. It was confirmed that marital conflict interaction 1 (i.e., silencing my opinion) plays a mediating role in the relationship between the familialism values of married women and marital satisfaction.Third, the familialism values of married women influenced marital satisfaction through the path of marital conflict interaction 2 (i.e., having a calm conversation with a spouse). The more married women aim for familialism values, the more they talk calmly with their spouses in the event of marital conflict, and as a result, marital satisfaction was increased. It was confirmed that marital conflict interaction 2 (i.e., having a calm conversation with a spouse) plays a mediating role in the relationship between the familialism values of married women and marital satisfaction.Fourth, the familialism values of married women influenced marital satisfaction through the path of marital conflict interaction 3 (i.e., having an intense debate). The more married women aim for familialism values, the less they argued fiercely with their spouse in the event of marital conflict, and as a result, marital satisfaction was increased. It was confirmed that marital conflict interaction 3 (i.e., having an intense debate) plays a mediating role in the relationship between the familialism values of married women and marital satisfaction.As described above, the results of this study show that each marital conflict interaction method plays a mediating role in the relationship between the familialism values of married women and marital satisfaction. Therefore, it is necessary to seek various policies and interests to maintain familialism values that can increase marital satisfaction of married women in a stable and sound way and increase the implementation of counseling and education programs to review marital conflict strategies and communication patterns.
