Abstract
To present useful information for clinical application of aerial parts of Patrinia scabiosaefolia and Patrinia villosa as an effective cure for inflammatory diseases, in this study, comparative study of their methanol extracts on anti-inflammatory effect was performed and shown in the following results.1. Cell cytotoxicity compared with normal cells, as evidenced by MTS assay. PVH and PSH did not have an effect on cell viability of RAW 264.7 cells. Therfore, PVH and PSH were used in the experiment to confirm anti-inflammatory effect on LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells.2. PVH decreased the expression of iNOS protein in LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells, compared with RAW 264.7 cells without LPS. Additionally, PSH clearly had an inhibitory effect on LPS-induced iNOS protein expression.3.
