五代十國이라는 혼란의 끝에 宋이 건국되었다. 宋의 황제들은 제국이 오래도록 존속하기를 염원하는 바람에서 文治를 표방하였는데 그 운영의 핵심은 유교이념으로 단련되어 있으면서 정부가 요구하는 분야에 전문적인 지식과 깊이를 갖춘 유능한 인재를 공급받는 데에 있었다. 宋은 이를 뒷받침하는 제도로 과거제도를 채택하였다. 北宋시기 柳永은 관직을 얻기 위한 정식절차인 과거시험에 응시하였으나 낙제하여서 失意한 마음에 작품 한 편을 창작하였는데 그것이 문제가 되어서 과거시험을 통하여서는 관직에 진출할 수 어렵게 되었다. 그래서 그는 과거시험을 통하지 않는 다른 방법으로 官界입성 방안을 강구했어야 했는데 그것이 詞의 창작이었다. 그는 벼슬을 향한 뚜렷한 의지와 목표 그리고 不狂不及의 정성으로 詞作에 임했기에 詞文學방면에서 큰 성취를 이루어내게 되었다. 하지만 柳永이 본질적으로 원했던 것은 사대부로서 理想을 실현하는 데에 있었고 이를 위해 그는 벼슬을 바랬던 것이다. 그렇기에 그는 합격이 상당히 불리하고 詞作에 몰두하면서도 한편으로는 꾸준하게 과거시험에 응시하였으며 마침내 관료가 되어 스스로의 이상을 완수해 내었는데 본고에서 그 과정을 고찰하였다.유영은 어릴 때부터 과거시험을 준비하며 정치인으로서의 꿈과 이상을 키워온 인물이었다. 그가 남긴 기록들 중에는 근면한 공부를 권하는 문장과 民政을 살핀 작품들 그리고 詩의 功用的 측면에 立脚한 저작들이 많은데 이것은 그가 일반적인 유학가의 정체성을 가지고 있고 관료로서 국가와 사회에 책임을 다하고자 하는 실천가의 의지를 가지고 있었음을 보여준다. 하지만 지금까지 유영에 대한 연구에서 이 부분에 대해 소홀이 다루어진 것이 사실이다. 詞가 宋의 대표문학이 되기까지 최대 공로자의 위치에 柳永이 있고 그가 성취해낸 詞文學에서의 업적이 지대하기 때문에 詞작가로서의 柳永과 그가 창작한 작품들에 대한 연구는 많이 이루어지고 있지만 그가 詞작가이기에 앞서 사대부였음을 상기한다면 현재의 편중된 연구경향은 아쉬운 상황이다. 본 연구는 여러 대조되는 모습을 지닌 柳永의 삶을 조명하여 균형 잡힌 분석을 통해 柳永이 本質적으로 추구했던 삶의 목표는 사대부로서의 理想실현이었음을 보여주는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다.
Since the Song was founded at the end of the confusion of the Five Kingdoms, the emperors of the Song expressed their wish for the Empire to survive for a long time. The main point was that they were trained by confucian ideals, and it was in the supply of competent talent. As a system to support this, Song has adopted the government service appointment system.In the Northern Song Dynasty, Liu Yong once applied to the government service appointment test to a junior office, and failed. After that, he created a piece of work with disappointment, which became a problem and it became difficult to enter the office through the government service appointment exams. So he had to find a way to advance into public office, and the it was the creation of the Sa(詞). Liu Yong has been immersed in the creation of Ci literature, and has achieved great achievement in the area of linguistics. Even so, it was not enough to open the door to his office career.Liu Yong wanted to do his job because he wanted to achieve his vision as a realize his ideals as a literati and officialdom. He accepted his examinations consistently despite his considerable disadvantage. Finally, he completed his ideal by becoming a bureaucrat. In this manuscript, the procedure has been investigated.Liu Yong was a person who prepared dreams and ideals as a politician by preparing for the government service appointment exams from his early age. Among the records he has left are a number of works that encourage diligent study, works that looked for popular feelings, and works based on the practical aspects of poetry. This is because he was a practitioner who had a common confucian identity, show that he had the will. However, it is true that the study on Liu Yong has neglected this part so far. Since there is a great contribution of Liu Yong for the lyrics become the representative literature of Song, and many achievements have been made in the linguistics that he has accomplished, much research has been done. Consider the idendity of Liu Yong as a literati and officialdom, the light of the above in current biased research tendency is a pity. The purpose of this study is to show that Liu Yong's pursuit of life through comparison analysis by illuminating the life of Liu Yong, and present the purpose of Liu Yong was to achieve the ideal as a literati officialdom.
