Abstract
In this study, Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis on the hydro class power and analysis of its characteristics are performed. For an accurate numerical analysis, interpretation domain is consist of a large number of unaligned hexahedral meshs. an inplicit unsteady flow solver and the SST k-omega turbulence model were used. The rotational motion was numerically analyzed using the MRF technique. To assume a real condition, we fixed the pitch angle of guide vane according to the opening rate of log data and repeated interpretation by shifting the pitch angle of runner blade. We selected the blade with largest number to verify the difference of functions between at low tide and high tide. To verify the accuracy of CFD analysis method, we compared CFD analysis result and log data.
