Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present a speaking education plan using role-play for advanced Chinese Korean language learners so that they can actively participate in classes to improve their speaking skills. In this study, which aims to develop an educational plan using role plays to help learners speak, Chapter 2 examines the theoretical background of speaking education and role play. Chapter 3 analyzes the results of the learner needs survey and analyzes the selected textbooks for speaking education. The needs survey investigates and analyzes the needs of learners regarding the method and content of role-play, based on the results of analysis of perception of speaking. Textbook analysis analyzes the structure and types of speaking stages presented in the textbook and analyzes situations using more specific role plays. Through demand survey and textbook analysis present problems and directions for improvement in speaking education . In Chapter 4, based on the theoretical background review, survey, and textbook analysis in Chapters 2 and 3, we discuss ways to increase learners' interest and educational effectiveness by using role-play as an effective speaking education method for advanced Chinese learners. We will try to arrange it. In particular, in this study, the contents of each unit are reviewed through role play without departing from the learning materials. Learners can better carry out the knowledge in the textbook and understand how to use it in real life. It is significant that the speaking ability of Korean language learners is greatly improved in the advanced level of learning. This study can be said to be meaningful in that it focuses on helping Korean language learners overcome the limitations of Korean speaking education at the advanced level. Korean speaking education using role plays can stimulate learners' interest in speaking and motivate them to speak, and learners can gain more confidence in speaking by sufficiently discussing their thoughts and feelings in the process of producing plays and writing scripts. Therefore, using role-play is an effective method in Korean speaking classes. However, this study still has problems that need to be resolved. The failure to verify the specific effects of the lesson plan proposed in this study by applying it in actual educational settings can be said to be a limitation. In particular, it is a problem that the instructor's teaching ability and the learner's understanding were not properly considered while performing role-play activities of different types and topics in one class. More research is needed on how to adjust the type of role play to reflect the learner's level of understanding.
