In this paper, in order to develop a portable gimbal performance test method, we describe the derivation of the test items, the development of the test method, the development of the measurement system and the test results applying the test method.The handheld gimbal has products of superior performance that can improve the quality of the photographed image, but present performance with different standards for each manufacturer without criteria for evaluating performance Therefore, it is difficult for users to compare the performance of products and select them. In order to solve these problems, we analyze the usage environment of handheld gimbals, derive performance requirements, develop test methods for performance requirements, build measurement systems to accurately carry out test methods and Dedicated analysis software was developed. By applying the developed performance testing method and measurement system, we conducted performance tests of three kinds of handheld gimbal products, and we could verify the performance comparison of handheld gimbals and the advantages and disadvantages using the test results. It can be confirmed that there is a difference between the performance presented by the manufacturer and the test result, and it is judged that a common standard for confirming the performance is necessary for the user to select products through accurate performance comparison It is thought that the contents of this research will help to develop common standards.
