Traditionally, the city gas industry is a stable gas supply for the purpose which the city has been in operation, mostly owned by private companies, but as being a public energy features.Therefore, the pipeline transport characteristic network industry and that being due to a lot of initial investment provided by applicable law has been recognized as the exclusive area .Being due to the nature of this industrial city gas industry compared with other sectors was relatively weak marketing strategy, the government measures over inflation rates as a means of control were hitting the city gas companies and conservative investment policy has been laid out .Thus, since the mid-2000s penetration was stagnant, decreased growth rate, electricity and other energies of traditional areas such as community energy which is vulnerable began to invasion .Temperature ascend due to global warming, being due to the nuclear accident in Japan Atomic Energy triggers consumption reduction, corruption of the domestic nuclear power plants results in distrust, generation caused by the peak domestic power, domestic energy environment including renewable energy is changing rapidly and future businesses and users will face increasingly the energy supply diversification and multifunctional environment .We correspond to the external environment and must find a new paradigm to overcome growing limitations of the city gas .Therefore, in this paper, the development direction of the energy industry and gas companies of other cities have the capacity to analyze and studied cases about gas industry development strategy of foreign cities, SWOT analyzed the ways through the city gas company strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, analyzed threats.Accordingly, each of the factors that have SO Strategies, ST Strategies, WO Strategies, WT strategies, investment strategies, business environment is presented. Also reasonable improvements were presented such as construction equipment air conditioner gas supply expansion through amendments to standards, building fuel cells for future growth as the dissemination effort, LNG bunkering business opportunities as a new growth engine, a measure of the power of distributed cogeneration activation, diversity in terms of the environment through the expansion of the NGV city gas distribution company sought a new investment strategy .In addition, in recent years, due to conflicts being resuited from other energy industries, government, business, consumer and energy stocks have taken place between the cities.Consequently, gas company through diversification and entry into other energy businesses which seeks actively cooperation should be presented.In the meantime, the country's domestic city gas industry does await with too casual way and ought to establish the innovative investment strategies to attack other energy projects and be prepared for a full-fledged competition .In addition, not only competition but also co-existence added cooperation, to make other energy consumers more economical and convenient, the fuel expansion of new energy projects should be advanced.
