This paper conducts research using SBI (Service-based Interface) for the design of a 5G+ core network structure suitable for edge communication. The purpose of the research is to simulate the performance change when the N4 Interface is converted to SBI and analyze its trend. For this, we used PEPA (Performance Evaluation Process Algebra), a formal simulation language, to conduct experiments for various scenarios. The experimental results can be explained from two perspectives. The first is the perspective when the number of execution steps increases when transitioning from N4 to SBI. In this case, the performance deteriorates, and we conducted experiments to analyze what measures should be proposed to overcome this. The second is the perspective when the number of execution steps decreases when transitioning from N4 to SBI. In this case, we analyzed how much performance has improved.
