본 연구는 체육교과에 대한 학생들의 체육 교사의 태도에 대한 학생 반응도를 통하여 효과적인 체육 교수 학습 활동과 체육 담당 교사들의 교육 활동에 도움을 주기 위한 자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있는데, 경기도 H시를 중심으로 동부와 서부, 남부와 북부 지역의 각 지역에서 중학교 1개교씩 총 4개교를 대상하였으며, 설문 조사를 실시하여 자료를 얻었다. 또한, 설문 결과를 중학교 학생들이 체육 담당 교사에 대한 기대를 성별, 학년별로 교차 분석하여 논의하였고, 제시된 연구 목적과 관련하여 연구 문제를 중심으로 결론을 다음과 같이 도출하였다. 학생들은 학생에 대한 열정을 교사에게 많은 기대를 하는 것으로 나타났으며, 유쾌하면서, 건강함을 체육교사에게 기대하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 체육교사는 평소와 같은 부드러운 언어로 학생들을 대해 주기를 바라는 것으로 나타났다. 자유롭게 활동 할 수 있는 기회를 제공 해 주는 체육 수업을 학생들은 기대하는 수업이라고 생각하고 있으며, 체육수업을 통해 즐겁게 참여하여 건강을 증진 시키고자 한다. 교사의 친근감과 열정적인 교수행동을 통해 자신이 원하는 운동의 기초기술을 자세하게 배우고자 학생들은 기대하는 것으로 나타났다. 학생들은 체육교사의 따뜻한 지도를 기대하며, 다른 교과의 교사보다 체육교사의 인지도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 체육교사의 건강문제에 대한 상담과 품행 지도에 기대가 높으며, 체벌에 대해 필요성을 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 학생들은 체육교사를 대체로 좋아하며, 인간관계의 신뢰성이 높은 것으로 인식하고 있다. 체육교사는 타 교과 교사보다 자신들은 좀 더 잘 이해하고 있는 것으로 판단하고 있으며, 재미있는 늘 학생과 함께하는 교사가 되어 주길 학생들은 바라고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 학생들의 체육교사에 대한 역할 기대를 종합해보면, 체육교사는 학생들에 대한 열정과 따뜻한 마음씨, 타 교과와는 다른 상호 교감 할 수 있는 존재로서 학생과 항상 함께 할 수 있는 교사가 되고자 노력해야 한다.
The purpose of this study was that providing useful information about efficient learning methods of teaching operation and instruction service in physical education via examination of student’s reaction to the attitude of the physical education teacher. The questionnaire surveys were collected from students in 4 middle schools in each four cardinals of Hwasung, Gyeonggi province. The expectation results were cross-analyzed and discussed depends on genders and grades, and the conclusion was drawn specifically in the presented purposes. The study showed that students expect enthusiasm, interests, and humor of teachers. Also they wanted to be treated with gentle manner of speaking and gesture. The students considered that a class which provides opportunity of free activity is the one that they expected, and they wanted to get better health through the class. This study also showed that they look to learn basic exercise skills by a teacher who has affection and passionate instruction. The participants anticipated kind coaching, and the physical education teacher’s popularity is higher than other courses. The students expected an advice about health issues as well as behaviors, while they recognized of necessary of punishment. The students mostly liked the physical education teachers, and highly trusted human relationship. They thought the physical education teachers had better understanding of them, and wished that the funny teachers who can always be with them. To conclude with the expectation of a physical education teacher’s role, the teachers are asked to have warm heart, passion for students, and ability to communicate with other courses. The teachers also need to try for being with students as a person who has a sharing sense.
