Abstract
In this study, the grammar items in the New Intermediate Korean compiled in China and the Intermediate Korean compiled in Korea were compared and analyzed. This analysis will be helpful to figure out different situations in the class in China and Korea. Especially, the problems in the description of the grammar items included in the Korean textbooks compiled in China and Korea will be significant information in the compilation of Korean textbooks. In terms of the description pattern of the grammar items in New Intermediate Korean and Intermediate Korean, discussion was focused on their similarities and differences. The grammar items included in New Intermediate Korean are twice more than those of Intermediate Korean. It is considered that because the education purpose and teaching method of these textbooks compiled in Korea and China are different, there are such differences. Teaching methods, class pattern and teaching environment also lead to the different characteristics of the grammar item description in New Intermediate Korean and Intermediate Korean.
