후천적으로 신체장애인이 된 대학생의 장애수용이 대학생활 적응에 영향을 미치는 지, 그 과정에서 사회적 지지의 매개효과가 유의한 지 검증하였다. 장애수용은 적응과 상실에 대한 수용으로서 가치 영역의 확대 및 신체적 조건의 수용, 장애의 부정적 효과 차단, 비교가치의 내적 전환 등으로 구성되었다. 대학생활 적응은 적절하게 반응하고 대처하는 것으로 하위요인으로 개인·정서적 적응, 학업적 적응, 일반적 적응, 사회적 적응 등으로 구성되었다. 사회적 지지는 타인으로부터 제공되는 정서적 지지, 정보적 지지, 물질적 지지, 평가적 지지를 포함하였다. 전국 대학교에 재학 중이며, 만 10세 이후 장애를 얻게 된 후천적 장애인(사고, 질병)을 대상으로 자기보고식 설문을 131명에게 실시하여 자료를 수집하였고 상관분석과 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 장애수용과 대학생활 적응, 사회적 지지는 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 매개효과 검증을 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였고, 장애수용과 대학생활 적응 간의 관계에서 사회적 지지가 부분 매개효과를 보였다. 셋째, Bootstrapping을 통해 독립변수가 종속변수에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 것뿐만 아니라 매개변수를 통해 간접적으로 종속변인에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 중도지체 장애 대학생의 적응과 관련하여 장애수용과 사회적 지지가 유의하게 역할 함을 알 수 있었다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점, 향후 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.주요어 : 중도지체 장애대학생, 대학생활 적응, 사회적 지지, 장애수용
The study examined whether the acceptance of disability of college students who became physically disabled affects the adaptation to college life and whether the mediating effect of social support is significant in the process. Acceptance of disability is the acceptance of adaptation and loss, and it consists of enlarging the scope of values, subordination of physique, containment of disability effects, and transformation from comparative values to asset values. Adaptation to college life is an appropriate response and coping. It consists of individual/emotional adaptation, academic adaptation, general adaptation, and social adaptation as sub-factors. Social support means resources provided by others, which includes emotional support, informational support, material support, and evaluative support. A self-report questionnaire was conducted on 131 people with acquired disabilities (accidents and diseases) who were enrolled in universities nationwide and became disabled after the age of 10, and data were collected and correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were performed. As a result, first, there was a significant correlation in the relationship between disability acceptance, college life adaptation, and social support. Second, hierarchical regression analysis was performed to verify the mediating effect, and social support showed a partial mediating effect in the relationship between disability acceptance and college life adaptation. Third, through Bootstrapping, it can be seen that the independent variable not only directly affects the dependent variable but also indirectly affects the dependent variable through the parameter. This study showed that acceptance of disability and social support played a significant role in adaptation of college students with Acquired physical disabilities.
