Abstract
To assess the effects of a proton beam on oystermushroms (Pleurotus ostreatus), the genetic diversity andphylogenetic relationships among strains induced by a protonAccording to an AFLP DNA polymorphism analysis, theinduced strains were divided into four groups that coincidedwith the dose. When applying proton-beam radiation, thedisimilarity among the induced strains increased when increasingthe dose. When using more than 40 Gy, the genetic dissimilarityof the irradiated strains was 46-58%. Thus, evaluating theinduced strains using the AFLP technique was effective inrevealing the mutation effect of the proton beam.
