Abstract
본 연구는 발달장애인의 지역사회 자립생활 경험과 사회복지사를 비롯한 이들의 자립생활 지원체계들의 상호작용을 이해하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 자료수집을 위해 2023년 5월부터 9월까지 서부장애인종합복지관과 연계되어 자립에 성공한 발달장애인 자립생활 당사자 5명을 심층 인터뷰 하였으며, 이들을 지원한 공식, 비공식 지원자 4명을 대상으로 초점집단 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 자립생활 당사자의 개별적 경험과 이들 경험의 공통점을 사례연구로 분석하였다. 그 결과 발달장애인들의 자립생활 과정은 시간의 흐름에 따라 자립생활 이전, 시작, 현재, 미래로 구분되었고 그 과정은 ‘갑작스레 세상으로 내던져짐’, ‘구심점을 찾아 헤매기’, ‘도움을 받으며 적응하기’, ‘함께 그려갈 새로운 삶’으로 명명되었다. 또한 이들의 자립생활 지원체계들의 주요 역할은 물질적, 정서적, 정보적 지원을 위한 체계 개발로 정의되었다.
The purpose of this study was to understand the interaction of the developmentally people with disabilities experience of self-reliant life in the community and their support systems for self-reliant life, including social workers. In order to collect data, five people with developmental disabilities who succeeded in self-reliance were interviewed in-depth from May to September 2023 in connection with Seobu Community Welfare Center for People with Disabilities, and a focus group interview was conducted with four official and informal applicants who supported them. In this study, the individual experiences of independent living parties and their commonalities were analyzed as a case study. As a result, the process of self-reliant life of people with developmental disabilities was divided into before, beginning, present, and future self-reliant life over time, and the process was named "suddenly thrown into the world," "wandering around in search of relief," "adapting with help," and "a new life drawn together." In addition, the main role of their self-reliance support systems was defined as the development of a system for material, emotional, and information support.
