Abstract
We report two cases of anorectal malignant melanoma (AMM) with an invasion depth of T1 laparoscopic abdominoperineal resection. Both cases required trans-anal resection for anorectal tumors, diagnosed to have an invasion depth of T1 AMM in another hospital. In both cases, we performed colorectal endoscopy and had the residuum of tumor after trans-anal resection. In both cases laparoscopic abdominoperineal resections were performed. The pathological diagnosis of case 1 was AMM, pStage IIIa. Multiple liver metastasis was found by CT 2 months after surgery. Case 2 showed multiple lung metastases with CT in AMM, pStage IIIb 3 months postoperatively. We presented two cases of T1 AMM recurrent early postoperatively.
