Abstract
In this research, we propose a method to generate a shadow that matches a real light source environment for a virtual CG object by estimating a real light source from an image for a virtual object in augmented reality and mixed reality. The proposed method performs clustering by referring to pixel values from an image acquired using HoloLens, finds the brightness of each class, and estimates the shadow position by estimating the light source position in the normal direction of the brightest coordinate. This method estimates the light source environment based on the image viewed from the observer's direction. Therefore, even if no light source estimation device is located near the observation target, Optical consistency can be maintained. We aim to improve the realism of virtual objects by shading virtual objects using this method and satisfying optical consistency
