Abstract
Subjective experiments were carried out in a climate chamber using 16 subjects of both genders in order to evaluate humancomfort at extremely low humidity. Two levels of absolute humidity were examined, 2 and 10 g/kg(DA). For each absolute humidity condition, 3 air temperatures were set, 20, 25, and 30℃. Significantly lower skin moisture was observed at low absolute humidity. Extremely low humidity caused subjective dryness sensation. Greater dryness sensation at lower temperature were observed among the conditions with constant absolute humidity.Female subjects reported greater discomfort and fatigue due to environmental humidity than males.
