Abstract
Flow behaviors of liquid crystal droplet during assembling process have been observed. During assembling process, droplet elliptically splayed out between two parallel alignment (PA) substrates assembled in anti-parallel, on the other hand, liquid crystals in droplet concentrically expanded on vertical alignment (VA) substrates. A disclination was observed right after collision of droplets in both the substrates. The disclination disappeared with time independent of the different polyamide films. After collision the liquid crystal molecules aligned parallel to rubbing direction between the PA substrates, and homeotropic orientation was formed between the VA substrates.
