Abstract
The balance capability in patients with frailty, the prevalence of which has been increasing in recent years, may be reduced, but it has not been adequately analyzed. Therefore, we compared the balance capability between healthy elderly and frail patients who had completed acute care. The balance capability was lower in frail patients than in healthy elderly subjects. A possible cause is the frailty cycle associated with acute care. In the future, it is necessary to study the frailty cycle associated with fall-related factors.
