Abstract
Spindle cell carcinoma is a rare type of breast cancer with frequency of 0.08-0.72%. We report 2 cases of spindle cell carcinoma, both showed rapid growth with extremely poor prognosis.A 43-year-old woman with palpable mass of 1.8cm in her right breast, was diagnosed as spindle cell carcinoma with clear cell change, Stage ⅡB [T2 (2.5cm) N1 (1/15) M0], negative ER, PR and HER2. Lung and liver metastasis occurred 3 months after adjuvant chemotherapy, progressive disease with changing to vinorelbine chemotherapy and died in 2 months.Second case was a 53-year-old woman, diagnosed as spindle cell carcinoma Stage ⅡB [T2 (4cm) N1 (14/20) M0], negative ER, PR and HER2. Multiple bone, lung and liver metastasis occurred during adjuvant chemotherapy and died 10 months after surgery.
