Abstract
We report a resected case of synchronous triple primary lung cancers in the right lung. A 69-year-old male complained of cough and hemosputum. Examination of chest radiograph and chest tomography showed three mass shadows in S2a, S2b and S6c. Bronchoscopic cytology and computed tomogram of his chest revealed synchronous triple primary lung cancers. The right upper and middle lobectomy with S6 segmental resection was performed. The pathological diagnosis for each of S2a, S2b and S6c were large cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, respectively. Clinical features and histological confirmation are very important for the diagnosis of the synchronous lung cancer. Furthermore it might be necessary to take the possibility of multiple primary lung cancers into consideration when we find multiple mass shadows in the lung.
