Abstract
Progress：At the initial examination, the patient was able to recline in the dental treatment unit but refused to open her mouth. We responded by forced opening for a brief time and, as we found dental caries on several teeth, we developed a plan for treatment under general anesthesia. Due to the obesity, we instructed her to reduce weight. While waiting, we provided training on mask use to enable a smooth progression to general anesthesia, and gave instructions to enable long-term oral management after the completion of dental treatment.
