Abstract
In this paper, we investigated the effects of chair height and handrail position on standing-up motion using a chair with adjustable seat height and used muscle activity and plantar reaction force as evaluation items. Muscle activity decreased most at the highest sitting height. However, the decline tended to vary for some people. The CFP was calculated from the sole reaction force, and a stable rise was evaluated. Also, from the trunk angle, the higher the seat height, the smaller the forward inclination angle. In the future, we will examine the position of seats and handrails where people can stand-up easily and consider quantitative evaluation methods.
