Abstract
Oncoplastic surgery using pedicled perforator flap is an OPBCS volume replacement level 2 procedure. This study focuses on use of the chest wall perforator flap (CWPF) in the inframammary region, as represented by the intercostal artery perforation flap. This technique is applied to patients with a defect in the lower part of the breast. Although the amount of defect that can be replaced by the inframammary CWPF is limited, additional skin incisions and intraoperative repositioning are not required. Herein, we provide an overview of the inframammary CWPF including preoperative design, intraoperative technique, tips, and pitfalls.
