Abstract
Considering that the underground erosion could be a major cause of landslide movement, the authors have begun the measurement of the rate of eroded and transported sediment at three spring points along the zone of "Zentoku Landslide" since 1984. Results obtained are as follows: 1) Monthly measurements of the weight of sediments which exceeded 1,000g were roughly proportional to the precipitation. The lower limit of the precipitation is 134mm. 2) Median diameter which characterize the sediment changes due to the amount of precipitation. 3) The amount of sediment discharge has no effect on the grain size distribution characteristics.
