Abstract
In this study, effects of the land surface scheme on climate simulation of the Atmospheric General Circulation Model (AGCM) were analyzed. To predict the magnitude and frequency of water hazards in the future more accurately, the original land surface scheme in AGCM was replaced with SiBUC, which is a land surface scheme with high accuracy of river discharge estimation. As a result of this analysis, we found that runoff increased more than precipitation increased in dry areas. We also found that when focusing on how much annual precipitation was consumed as runoff in each month at the selected points, the period runoff increased varied depending on the locations.
