Abstract
In order to clarify the effects of relative humidity on human comfort and productivity under transient conditions in summer, subjective experiments were conducted. In Chamberl, subjects were exposed to the condition of 30℃/70%RH for 15 minutes. In Chamber2, subjects were exposed to 4 different humidity conditions for 180 minutes, performing simulated office work. For all conditions, SET^* was kept constant at 25.2℃. Subjects reported more pleasant at 30%RH and 40%RH than at 50%RH and 70%RH. Skin wettedness on left chest declined more at low relative humidity. Under transient conditions, the change of skin moisture at 30%RH and 40%RH showed the same tendency throughout the exposure time. Though significant differences in the task performance among conditions were not found, total rate of complaints at 70%RH was higher than any other conditions.
