Abstract
We developed and evaluated a deconvolution procedure that was applicable to spectral data obtained from a multichannel detector (MCD). The procedure consists of three parts; 1) interpolation of the spectral data, 2) polynomial fitting and equally-spaced sampling, and 3) the conventional deconvolution. In order to cope with the problem of the low data-point-density of the spectral data, the interpolation was carried out through a modified scanning-multichannel-technique. The equally-spaced spectral data with the arbitrary sampling interval in wavenumber are also derived as a result of the polynomial fitting. To demonstrate the usefulness of the method, an experimental result for a Raman spectrum of carbon tetrachloride is presented.
