Abstract
To improve the reliability on the CCL, it is very important to grasp the damage of the cathode at the end of lamp life. Authors have studied the influence of the mercury of the damage to the Ni cathode and Mo cathode. As the result, it was revealed that the damage to the cathode increased when the mercury vapour vanished from the lamp, and that the way to get damage to the Ni cathode differed from that to the Mo cathode.
