Abstract
The objective of this study is to estimate the optimization of fuel cell electric vehicle system by the driving simulation that we developed. The efficiency of fuel cell electric vehicle was higher in urban driving mode, FUDS, than highway driving mode, FHDS. The optimum ratio of fuel cell to total capacity, 40kW, was bigger in FHDS mode than FUDS mode. The maximum efficiency of FUDS was 43.5% in fuel cell 20kW, secondary battery 20kW. The maximum total efficiency of FHDS was 40.7% in fuel cell 32kW, secondary battery 8kW.
