Abstract
We are establishing Arabidopsis mutant lines for genome wide functional analysis of plant and constructing database for integration of much information of many mutants. We will demonstrate three of these constructed databases, 'RIKEN Activation Tagging Line Database', 'Arabidopsis Phenome Information Database (RAPID)' and 'RIKEN RICE FOX Line Database'. In 'RIKEN Activation Tagging Line Database' and 'RAPID', independent about 400 and 4,000 mutants isolated from activation tagging lines and Ds transposon insertion lines are registered, respectively. Information of mutants in these databases includes phenotypes and insertion sites of tags in Arabidopsis genome. In 'RIKEN RICE FOX Line Database', independent 17,000 rice FOX lines, in which rice cDNA are randomly over-expressed, are registered. We can use keyword of phenotype and information of transformed rice cDNA for search in database. The construction of this database is supported by the Special coordination funds for Promoting Science and Technology.
