Abstract
It is supposed to use electric power infrastructure facilities as seismic observation sites in urban areas. Among them, if earthquake observation using the huge number of electric poles becomes possible, it is expected that useful information can be obtained such as understanding the distribution characteristics of seismic ground motion. In this research, seismographs were installed at electric pole and excitation experiment was carried out to obtain vibration characteristics of electric pole. Experimental results showed interactions between the three components. In addition, the possibility of estimating input ground motion from the vibration measurement record of the electric pole was shown.
