Abstract
In this paper, we present a path planning algorithm for the fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printer which can print with continuous fiber. The proposed algorithm enables us to create one stroke path which could print only by one continuous fiber. In the proposed method, we produce Eulerian graphs by converting print patterns and use conditional Hierholzer’s algorithm to find Euler circuits. Also, we implement some algorithms which create one stroke paths by changing Euler circuits. Visualization was conducted to verify that the created path could be drawn by one stroke. Additionally, we developed a 3D printer which can print continuous fiber and confirmed that any path confliction did not occur.
