National health facilities in the 21st century should provide highly qualified and innovative medical services in order to meet social demands. Medical staffs also should change their way of thinking.In the pharmaceutical department, we asked ourselves, “What are the qualities of an ideal pharmacist?” To answer this question, questionnaires were sent to the pharmacists regarding informational services for drugs, management of history of medication, therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) and participation in team treatment. This questionnaire was sent to the pharmaceutical departments of all national medical facilities in an effort to understand the current situation and to list current problems.The results of the questionnaire revealed several suggestions for the ideal pharmacist in the coming age.
