A 65-year-old woman was admitted to Inazawa City Hospital for further examination of a right adrenal tumor detected by abdominal US during a health check up of diabetes mellitus.Abdominal CT and MRI showed a solid mass with fat component 6cm in diameter in the right adrenal gland. The tumor was diagnosed as benign right adrenal myelolipoma. So we performed laparoscopic right adrenalectomy. Histopathological examination of the tumor confirmed the preoperative diagnosis. She was discharged on the 5th postoperative day. Laparoscopic adrenalectomy proved useful for this condition because of the cosmetic result and the short hospitalization.
