במאמר זה נבקש לבחון את פרקטיקות האהדה של שתי קבוצות מתוך אוהדי מועדון הכדורגל בית"ר ירושלים. קבוצות אוהדים אלו שונות מאוד באמירות ובטיעונים הפוליטיים שהן מתבססות עליהם, אם כי שתיהן טוענות בדרך כלל שהן מבססות את אהדתן על תורתו של זאב ז'בוטינסקי. טענתנו המרכזית היא, שמורכבותה של תורת ז'בוטינסקי היא המאפשרת לזרמים שונים של אוהדי בית"ר ירושלים לטעון שכל זרם הוא המייצג האמיתי של תורה זו. מורכבותה של תורת ז'בוטינסקי בולטת עוד יותר לאור ההקשר ההיסטורי של חיינו כיום, שכן נראה שמאז מלחמת ששת הימים דוגלת החברה הישראלית בשתי תפיסות עולם בינאריות ודיכוטומיות שאינן נותנות מקום לאידיאולוגיות מורכבות. In this article we examine the forms of support given by several groups of Beitar Jerusalem football team fans. These groups of fans differ greatly in the political statements and contentions that underlie their actions, although all of them largely trace their zeal back to the philosophy of Ze'ev Jabotinsky. We contend that the complexity of Jabotinsky's philosophy is what allows diverse types of Beitar Jerusalem fans to claim that they all represent Jabotinsky's ideas. The complexity of Jabotinsky's ideas is especially salient in today's current context: Since the Six Day War, Israeli society seems to be characterized by two binary and dichotomous world views that do not leave room for complex ideologies.
