Abstract
The study aims to evaluate whether a 24-hour urinary sodium excretion is an effective predictor of incidence of hypertension, and blood pressure (BP) changes. The results indicate that systolic blood pressure showed changes over time with change in sodium excretion and lower sodium excretion was associated with higher mortality from cardiovascular disease (CVD).
