Abstract
The article discusses the benefits and advantages offered by the BASE-IT (Behavioral Analysis and Synthesis for Intelligent Training) funded by the U.S. Office of Naval Research (ONR) due to a request put in by the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC). BASE-IT turns video imagery of live training into a 3-D virtual simulation, and then permits the user to manipulate avatars to test what-if scenarios.
