Abstract
In an eleven pound box about the size of a large book comes one of the most superior sound reproduction machines ever available for home use. The Magnavox FD1000SL compact disc player is a digital disc player of the new audio technology wave. The machine therefore reproduces sound without any noise, distortion, wow or flutter and does it from this 4.7-inch disc which lasts indefinitely. The machine performed perfectly except for the fact that it took eight seconds to find a certain musical selection on a disc. A photograph of the player is provided.
