Abstract
The case of a 41-year-old man with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) who presented with fever and abdominal pain after allogeneic peripheral-blood stem-cell transplantation is discussed. The diagnosis and treatment of acute appendicitis and concurrent neutropenic enterocolitis with probable cecal perforation caused by infection with an angioinvasive mold are described.
