Abstract
Outpatients with sickle cell disease at referral centers in France were evaluated to determine the prevalence and chracteristics of pulmonary hypertension in adults with sickle cell disease. The results for adult outpatients with stable sickle cell disease revealed 6% of prevalence of pulmonary hypertension, as detected on initial ecocardiographic screening and confirmed by right heart catheterization.
