Gunton (b) Abstract: We carry out computer simulations of domain growth in a microphase separation of block copolymers in two dimensions. After a quench of the system to below the phase-separation temperature, disk-shaped domains emerge, grow and tend to constitute a hexagonal lattice. However, the ordering is not completely global, in that there are many grain boundaries. We have found that there is a strong correlation between the lattice disordering and the droplet-size distribution. The domain patterns that form from a heterogeneous initial condition are also discussed.
