Abstract
The functional stability of plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI-1) is increased by three mutations in the recombinant PAI-1. The ion pairs in the latent PAI-1 were distorted and the half life of the PAI-1 mutants was increased. The wild type PAI-1 mutant is more stable than the latent form of four PAI-1 mutants.
