Integrating ACT components in CBT training: Trainee appetite and supervisor preparedness

Abstract
This study examined interest and skills in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in students undertaking a post- graduate cognitive behaviour therapy course and their supervisors, and considered whether it would be appropriate to include an ACT component to the training. Results from two Qualtrics surveys suggest that there is considerable interest in ACT amongst CBT students and their supervisors mostly consider themselves able to supervise if an ACT component is added to the training.
