Abstract
The use of MIMIC (micromolding in capillaries) in fabrication of microstructures of organic and inorganic materials with micrometer- and submicrometer dimensions is described. The method involves molding in enclosed, continuous channel formed between a substrate and an elastomeric stamp made of poly(dimethylsiloxane). The method is based on spontaneous filling of these channels with a fluid by capillary action.
