Abstract
An alpha subunit of a GTP binding protein and a corticotropin receptor were localized at the 18th chromosome pericentromeric region, revealing a susceptibility gene with a complex inheritance mode. The chromosome 18 DNA markers were associated with hereditary manic-depressive illness. A nonparametric method, which used a dominant and recessive model, helped study such inherited illness.
