Taylor, G.O Williams Abstract: A low bandgap polymer (Eg ~ 1 eV) based on a bridged dithienyl monomer has been prepared by electropolymerisation. SEM studies confirm the formation of relatively smooth, uniform films. DC and AC electrical characterisation of Schottky diodes formed from the polymer suggest that the lack of significant rectification probably arises from a high bulk polymer resistivity owing to excessive undoping.
