In order to observe the development of hepatic granulomata, 20 Krad irradiated cercaria vaccinated grivet monkeys (Cercopithecus aethiops aethiops) were experimentally infected with Schistosoma mansoni. Most human clinical manifestations of schistosomiasis were noted in the infected monkeys.
