Many distal tephra beds exist in the late Cenozoic sediments of the Klondike goldfields and nearby areas. They come from volcanoes in the Wrangell volcanic field and the eastern Aleutian arc and represent large-magnitude eruptions. During the course of our tephrochronological studies in this region over the last 40 years, we have discovered 196 tephra occurrences and 50 distinctive tephra beds. The location of these sites and the distinguishing features of each of these tephra beds are presented in the form of a catalogue, which we hope will provide a stimulus for present and future tephrochronological studies in the Yukon Territory. These data are presented as a series of tables, as follows: location, stratigraphic context, petrography, geochemical characteristics, including major- and trace-element composition of glass shards, majorelement composition of Fe-Ti oxides, classification, and age determinations. A new classification scheme is presented in which the rhyolitic and dacitic tephra beds are grouped into three classes: adakite, transitional, and typical arc. Il existe de nombreux lits de tephra dans les sediments du Cenozoique tardif des champs auriferes du Klondike et des regions avoisinantes. Ils proviennent de volcans dans le champ volcanique Wrangell et l'arc aleoutien oriental et ils representent des eruptions de grande magnitude. Au cours de nos etudes tephro-chronologiques dans cette region durant les 40 dernieres annees, nous avons decouvert 196 occurrences de tephra et 50 lits distincts de tephra. La localisation de ces sites et les caracteristiques distinctives de chaque lit de tephra sont presentees sous forme de catalogue, lequel, nous esperons, fournira un stimulus, maintenant et dans l'avenir, pour d'autres etudes tephrochronologiques dans le Territoire du Yukon. Ces donnees sont sous forme de tableaux, presentant : la localisation, le contexte stratigraphique, la petrographie, les caracteristiques geochimiques, incluant la composition en elements majeurs et traces d'eclats de verre, la composition en elements principaux des oxydes Fe-Ti, la classification et les determinations d'age. Un projet de nouvelle classification est presente selon laquelle les lits rhyolitiques et dacitiques de tephra sont regroupes dans trois classes : adakite, de transition et d'arc typique.
