Range extension and new records of Tailed Tailless Bat, Anoura caudifer (E. Geofroy, 1818), in northeastern Brazil

We report on the occurrence of Anoura caudifer (E. Geofory, 1818) in northeastern Brazil and expand its known geographic distribution. The new records are from the Ceara and Bahia states. The record from Ceara is the first from that state, and the two new records from Bahia are from the northern part of that state. These records extend the known distribution of A. caudifer by 600 km in the eastern South America. Key words. Caatinga, Chiroptera, Glossophaginae, morphology variation, nectar-feeding
