Abstract
Issues concerning the use of cw-ESR/2D electron spin transient nutation to detect C60(super3-) fullerene in the quartet state and the low temperature study of anomalous spin relaxation from the polyanionic high-spin C60 fullerene are discussed. The high spin states of polyanionic C60 fullerenes are thought to be hot phonon states, which are possibly the first proof of phonon bottleneck behavior in organic molecules.
